How-To: Preload Spacers

I know sometimes it's very time-consuming and annoying to balance preload spacers on shocks. I found an easy way that does the job beautifully. All you need is 1 Zip-Tie per shock on your car. The overall number can vary from model to model (e.g. the HPI Savage and Traxxas T-Maxx have 8 shocks, where as the Hot Bodies Lightning GT only has 4).

First, take the shocks off the car, and take the springs off. Then slip the Zip-Tie onto the shock body at whichever place you want, and tighten it. That way, you don't need messy preload spacers, and just one Zip-Tie does the job of 1 or 10 spacers.

How-To: Fuel Tap

Nearly all R/C Manufacturers say that you must empty the fuel tank after every run. This is a very time-consuming and sometimes annoying process, so I got some hose joints with a tap (from an aquarium), and cut the fuel line on my car just before the fuel filter. I then connected the joint and tap, and the system works like a charm now. When you are finished running, just close the tap and you are done. This stops any fuel from entering the carburetor, which means you don't have to empty the fuel tank all the time.
